Caroline Charles SS12, 16th September 2011, London Fashion Week

This is it !
The start of the London Fashion Week on Friday, the 16th of September 2011.
At the Somerset House, the press starts gathering in the morning, for the first show taking place.

One of the first shows on Friday morning was Caroline Charles, which I had the pleasure to attend at the BFC Show Space:

Background:

Caroline Charles is a designer who worked with Mary Quant (one of the first designers taking credit for creating the miniskirt) before setting up her own business. Her main inspiration sources are Poiret, Chanel and Mary Quant.

This year she presented two main sets of clothes:
The first one, very colourful, involved flowery patterns on silk summer dresses, or suits made of light materials, in plain colours.
The other set, in black and white/ivory, was more classic - clearly driven by Chanel as her main source of inspiration.
