Fashion Fringe

Hi Everyone,

As the Fashion Week approaches, let's recall what happened last year at the same time, during the Fashion Fringe of September 2010, starring John Galliano just before the end of his career at Dior.

Three finalists representing the coming-up trends of London Fashion presented their collections in a competition taking place in Covent Garden:



The first designer presenting was Alice Palmer (Glasgow School of Art, Royal College of Art in London). Her collection was mostly focused on strech materials in classical colours, using folds to create patterns along the dresses:


 


Following this, Jade Kang (Fine Arts & Fashion in Seoul, London College of Fashion) presented his collection: bright colours and soft materials following movements, summery patterns and hair straighten up towards the back of the head:

                  

                   



Finally, Corrie Nielsen (London College of Fashion, Central St Martins) presented dresses with bold shapes, in a variety of classical colours and materials, and gave an original touch by having the models do the runway in ballet shoes:
