Antonella Rossi, AltaRomAltaModa 2012, Rome

So, everyone, ready for another Italian designer?

The next AltaRomAltaModa Fashion Show I will talk about today is Antonella Rossi,
which was presented in Via Veneto on the 10th of July in Rome

Designer background:

The brand Antonella Rossi was born in 1950 in the surrounding of Florence, with the opening of a small tailoring shop by Mr Rossi. Later on Antonella Rossi, born in 1956, contributed to developing collections and designs and make them what they represent today: feminity and well-being. Every outfit is developped with highest attention to detail, as well as the respect of a quality “Made in Italy”.

Antonella Rossi presented for her Autumn / Winter 2013 collection 20 designs
dedicated to beauty and well-being.

She chose very classy colours for this theme, ranging from black and emeraud green to dark blue and beige, while most designs were enriched with fur as a symbol for luxury in evening wear.

Each of the cocktail / evening dresses highlights the neck and waist line in order to enhance feminity, and was created using soft and luxurious materials including silky velvet and cashmere.

Finally as a tradition, the designer presented a bridal design – this last dress in a pure white
emphasized feminine shapes while keeping an imposing effect thanks to the numerous
layers of tulle surrounding the bride.

Nino Lettieri, AltaRomAltaModa 2012, Rome

Hello boys and girls !

After Gianni Molaro’s very extravagant style, we are getting back to classics with Nino Lettieri’s collection, presented in the very trendy Via Margutta (chosen on purpose by the designer as a remembrance of the fifties’ movie “Roman holidays”) on the 9th July 2012 in Rome.

Designer background:

Nino Lettieri graduated from the Art Institute of Naples. From 1982 he collaborates with some of the best designers in Milan, and in 2000 he internationalises his collections by presenting them in France, Spain, the Middle-East and the US. His collections have been presented at AltaRoma since 2010.

The Fall/Winter collection, “Poids d’hiver”, refers to the designer’s experimentation
with polka dots this season – a tribute to Audrey Hepburn and other cinema
icons who made this pattern a “must-have” in the sixties.

Each of the outfits was cut in soft materials including organza and soft silk velvet, most of them patterned with either large or small polka dots. Nino Lettieri created large volumes tops and dresses still leaving room for feminity through the transparency of the materials chosen.

Finally, the Nino Lettieri bride appeared in a chemise dress made of white
chiffon material, surrounded by a soft white snow of polka dots.

Nino Lettieri collaborated with several designers for the accessories:
elegant black and white pearl earrings, matching the theme of the sixties,
created by AlbaSerena, gloves by Sermoneta and shoes by Oronzo de Matteis.
